Review from mrviognier (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 1800, Created:20100209224907) | Purchased at: | | | Nose: | Orange peel, ginger, mace and vanilla dominate the nose, with a hint of smoke. | | Taste: | Soft entry, alcohol hits midpalate, with sweet toffee, vanilla bean notes. | | Finish: | Clean, lively. Fairly good integration of the alcohol, sweet finish, but short to moderate length. Slight burn, but not unpleasant. | | Overall: | Overall, a very nice, serviceable BIB. Pleasant, but not too memorable. A nice 'everyday' or 'aperitif' Bourbon. Considering the price, it's a good value. Those liking a whack of wood in their Bourbons might be disappointed. |
